District 7 of Long Beach commissioned me to paint something very special in front of the Cambodian Temple on Willow St. in Long Beach, California which is my hometown. As a proud Cambodian, I dedicated this piece to my heritage, my culture and my family. The red and blue wavy lines represent the colors of the Khmer and Lao flag and the plumeria is a native Khmer flower.
